Charitable Foundation Raises Over 1 Million Dollars For Local Charities

Since 2006 the Charitable Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 to distribute to local, member-selected charities.

The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s Charitable Foundation provides outreach activities for neighboring communities in Pickens County, South Carolina. Since 2006 the Charitable Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 to distribute to local, member-selected charities. The goal of the Charitable Foundation is to enhance the quality of life and sense of community for Reserve members and surrounding Upstate Residents.

In raising $1,023,000 over the past 14 years, the foundation has given to 20 local charities, strengthening, growing, and empowering individuals throughout the South Carolina Upstate.

Fundraising events take place throughout the year and include the Annual Charity Golf Classic and the Community Swine & Dine Dinner & Auction. These events are made possible through hundreds of volunteer hours, sponsorships, and donations from local businesses and individuals.

The 2019 beneficiaries of The Reserve at Lake Keowee Charitable Foundation’s Annual Gift Include:

  • Center For Developmental Services
  • Family Promise of Pickens County
  • Feed a Hungry Child
  • Pickens County Advocacy Center
  • Pickens County Meals on Wheels
  • Purple Heart Homes (Golden Corner Chapter)
  • Ripple Of One
  • Safe Harbor
  • Samaritan Health Clinic

The Charitable Foundation will be celebrating this milestone and presenting the checks of money raised throughout 2019 to the 10 member-selected charities on Tuesday, December 17th at 7 pm in Founders Hall. Following the check presentation, the Grammy-winning American Tenor, Richard Clement will perform.

Richard Clement has performed with many of America’s major orchestras and currently works as a professor and Artist-in-Residence at Georgia State University. This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to the concierge at 864.869.2105, or email concierge@reservekeowee.com.
